Cuba Libre, a return in images

Okay, so it's not so much of a project, but more of a step back through many years to the grand old days of film, and some of my early digital work too. It seems that everybody and their camera has suddenly "discovered" Cuba (or rather Havana), thanks to things opening up some.

The truth is that's it's been there, and very much open for business for, well - forever, it just took a little more work and a whole lot more adventure to do it a few years back.

I was fortunate enough to spend a great deal of time traveling and riding in every corner of this amazing place, and for a number of years too - and it still holds a very special place in my heart, and a space on my hard drive. Personally, I'd always dreaded the day of this "grand opening" of Cuba,, it has, and will even more so, change the unique and beautiful face of Cuba forever, and as much as I'm tempted to head back, knowing that it is no longer that last bastion of, well - of so many things, it's tough to call.

Meantime, here are a few images I have scanned and that missed my apres film cull, hope you enjoy the ride., even if some have a little Fuji softness to the edges ;)
