Seeing the bigger picture

From a year starved of images, and most other things come to that, this is one of my favourite travel pictures. It was shot during a February freeze in Cappadocia, which turns into an amazing winter wonderland when covered in the white stuff. I’d waited many years to see this most special of places covered in snow, and finally got to score this year.

This is a panoramic shot captured just after sun-up, when the famous hot air balloons take to the morning skies. Let’s all hope they fly high once again in 2021.
