Thee’s always something interesting to be found in the archives, and being as I’m not currently travelling or taking too many images here’s a small selection of pics that I shot from a hotel window a while back in downtown Kuala Lumpur, showing the flip side to living in a highly touristic area., which even as a confirmed city avoider, I still find such scenes fascinating,

You only need to look up from the hawker stalls and glitzy shops to enter another world, and I’ve spent fragmented years of my life in and round this tiny yet vibrant area of the Malaysian capital, and can but wonder on how such close proximity living and tourism is going to work out in the months and years ahead.
